Bio

Judith Zimmer began her writing career as an assistant editor at Mademoiselle and then Seventeen magazines. She went on to write articles about health, fitness, nutrition, and psychology for The New York Times, Psychology TodayVogue, Redbook, Good Housekeeping, the Daily News Magazine, and Health, among others. She’s written several nonfiction books, including Labor of Love Mothers Share the Joy of Childbirth, and been the co-author of others. She has also written for hospitals and medical centers, edited a natural healing newsletter, and been a communications director for nonprofits focused on cancer research and health policy. Her short fiction has appeared in Five on the Fifth and Lilith magazine. The story in Lilith was selected for the 2022 anthology, Frankly Feminist: Short Stories by Jewish Women from Lilith Magazine. Raised in Montclair, New Jersey, and a graduate of Bowdoin College, she moved to New York City after college. She divides her time between New York City and Litchfield, Connecticut.
